ASCI Journal of Management

The ASCI Journal of Management is a bi-annual journal, published every March and September by the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), is devoted to discussions on Policy and Management issues concerning various aspects of national life. The papers published in the journal are based on research work, consulting and professional experience. The ASCI Journal of Management also publishes analytical reviews of literature on specific themes, research notes, short notes from practising executives on issues and concerns of current interest, and book reviews..

Manuscripts of papers should reach the Editor four months prior to the date of release of a particular issue. The papers received for publication are sent to referees for their comments before a final decision is taken on their inclusion.

The ASCI Journal of Management follows a policy of blind peer review. No part of the material published in ASCI Journal of Management may be reproduced, photocopied or stored in retrieval systems, or used for commercial or other purposes.

All papers must be submitted to the Editor, ASCI Journal of Management, as a Word file attachment via e-mail. Additionally a hard copy in 1.5 spacing-on one side of the paper, with sufficient margins on both sides-can also be sent. It is a condition for publication that the material sent is original work, which has been previously published nor been submitted for publication elsewhere. It is in author’s interest to submit a clearly written and carefully proofread manuscript.

Annual subscription of issues (print edition) is Rs 500 in India. Subscribers from other countries and other details of the subscription please see the subscription link. Subscription payments may be made by cheque or demand draft infavour of Administrative Staff College of India.

The ASCI Journal of Management is a double-blind peer-reviewed publication of the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad, India. The first issue of the "ASCI Journal of Management" was brought out in 1971. It is a bi-annual journal published every March and September.

ASCI JoM welcomes articles, notes, and book reviews and should reach the Editor four months before the release date of a particular issue as an MS Word file attachment via e-mail. Additionally, a hard copy in 1.5 spacing on one side of the paper, with sufficient margins, can also be sent. The articles for publication are sent to referees for blind peer review before finalising their inclusion.

Authors should ensure that the manuscript submitted to the ASCI Journal of Management is not simultaneously submitted to any other journal or publisher. Also, it should not be submitted anywhere else during the pendency of the review process, which would take 4 to 6 months. Once a Manuscript is accepted by or published by ASCIJoM, it becomes the property of ASCI, whose permission is required for any operations covered by the Copyright Act.

It is in the author's interest to submit a clearly written and carefully proofread manuscript.

Title page: The manuscript of a paper should have a separate title page that should include the title of the article, name(s) of the author(s), affiliation, complete postal and e-mail addresses and telephone numbers of all authors and other relevant biographical information. Please restrict the author-related information only to the title page.

The second page should carry the title of the article and a single-paragraph abstract not exceeding 150 words. The text of the paper should start on a new page with the title. A list of keywords must follow the abstract.

Authors should disclose any potential conflict of interest regarding the manuscript. In addition, authors should avoid plagiarism and copyright-related offences. Material taken directly from a copyrighted source should be identified, and the copyright holder's written permission to reproduce it must be submitted in a separate file.

It is essential to note that obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material is the author's responsibility, as is the payment of any fees the copyright holder may request.

No part of this publication may be reproduced, photocopied, stored in retrieval systems, or used for commercial or other purposes without the written consent of the publisher.

Those papers that report the results of empirical research are expected to provide reliable estimates for all measures or provide a thorough justification for their absence. When statistically significant relationships are reported, an estimate of the variance accounted for must be provided. When non-significant statistical tests are reported, an estimate of the power of the test must be given. Avoid graphs and analyses of variance summary tables, but include tables of means and standard deviations and/or correlation wherever needed. The tables should be numbered.

Research Paper should be 5000 – 8000 words, Case Study or Research Note: 4000 – 6000 words, Book Review: 1200 – 1500 words

An alphabetical reference list of all books, articles, essays and theses referred are to be given

Quotations of 45 words or more should be separated from the text and indented with one space with a line space above and below.

One copy of each book should be sent for review to the Editor. The publication takes no responsibility for returning books not found suitable for review.
