Dr Rajkiran Bilolikar

Prof. Rajkiran V Bilolikar, is currently working as Professor in Centre for Energy Studies at Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI). ASCI provides training to senior civil servants & other top officials of Public Sector Undertakings in India and also provides advisory services to various governments. At Centre for Energy Studies, he leads the Energy Efficiency, e-Mobility, Renewable Energy and Power Sector Projects. He has worked in Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company, one of the largest electricity utilities in India prior to joining ASCI.

He has 20 years of experience in Electricity Distribution Management, Energy Efficiency Policy, Renewable Energy, Strategic management of Power Utilities, Climate change and Sustainability and e – Mobility.

Prof. Bilolikar played an instrumental role in operationalizing mandatory compliance of Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC) in the state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Currently he is working on strengthening the implementation of Energy Efficiency Code Compliance in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra along with clean mobility promotion in india.

Government of AP and Government of Telangana have appointed Prof. Bilolikar as one of the technical committee members to look into Energy efficiency aspects in the state. He is also a member on technical committee established by Bureau of Energy Efficiency to look into residential building codes. He was also felicitated with the “Energy Efficiency Excellence Award” by Government of Telangana for his contribution to the energy efficiency and energy conservation in the state.

He has published several conference papers, journal papers, issue briefs on Power Sector Management, Energy Efficiency in Buildings and Renewable Energy. He is speaker at various international summits and conferences and presented his findings in various events in USA, Europe, Australia, Philippines, South Asian Countries etc. He is a resource person with the World Bank, ADB, SAFIR and SAARC Energy Centre. He has worked on several assignment in power sector in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

CURRENT INTEREST

His current areas of interest are Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency, Electricity Distribution, Rural Electrification, Policies and Regulations in power sector, Electricity markets, Tariff analysis, Renewable Energy and IT application in Power sector.
