Centre Director and Professor
Dr. Ashok Kumar Patnaik is currently working as Professor and Director – CHRD at ASCI Hyderabad. He completed his MBA in the year 1997 and was awarded a Ph.D. (Doctorate) in Business Administration from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, in 2009. He qualified for UGC-NET exam eligibility for lectureship in 1999 and received a Black Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma in the year 2021. He attended an FDP course at IIM Ahmadabad (2002-2003) and conducted several FDPs/ MDPs for faculty members and management / corporate professionals.
He has 26+ years of experience in academics and administration of Universities (including eight years teaching abroad/ overseas in Oman). Dr. Ashok worked at the Institute of Insurance and Risk Management (IIRM), Hyderabad. The University of Technology and Applied Sciences (Formerly known as Ibri College of Technology) – Oman, Acharya Institute of Management Sciences (AIMS)-Bangalore, Health and Management Research Institute (HMRI)-Hyderabad, Amity University-Noida, GIET and GIMS Gunupur – Odisha.
Dr. Ashok has expertise in teaching subjects like Marketing Management, Strategic HRM, Interpersonal Skills, Entrepreneurship, Introduction to Banking and Insurance, Business Communication, AI in Marketing, Strategic Management, Research Methodology, Consumer behaviour, Services marketing, Retail marketing, Pricing Management, e-commerce, Project management, Competitive intelligence, and General management subjects in universities and institutions of national and international reputation.
He is a recognized Ph.D. thesis evaluator for Eight reputed universities: North West University- South Africa, Bharathiar University, SRM University, VIT University, Alagappa University, Shri Venkateshwara University, KIIT University- Bhubaneswar, etc. Dr. Ashok is appointed by the AICTE-New Delhi as an Expert for the Accreditations and Scrutiny Team.
Dr. Ashok is on the editorial/ reviewer board of several reputed journals, including two Scopus-indexed journals. He has published Three books and authored several articles in international journals like the International Journal of Financial Research (sciedupress.com), the International National Journal of Economics, Commerce and Management (UK), Global J. of Arts & Management, etc. Dr. Ashok is actively involved in Training & Development, L&D, Research & Publication, and Institution building activities.
