
Agri Entrepreneurship Development
PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
The agricultural sector in India offers vast opportunities for innovative business ventures. With the rise of agri-startups, entrepreneurs are playing a pivotal role in revitalizing rural economies. Popularly known as Agri-preneurs, they bring fresh ideas and practical solutions to long-standing challenges.
This programme is designed to expose participants to enterprise opportunities in agriculture and allied sectors. It will equip aspiring and practicing entrepreneurs with the knowledge and skills needed to identify, establish, and successfully manage agri-enterprises.
PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
Day 1: Introduction to enterprises and startups in the agricultural sector, their contribution to rural development, and an overview of government schemes supporting agri-businesses.
Day 2: Sessions on enterprise management, financial planning, and legal compliances.Introduction to Farmer Producer Companies (FPOs) and their role in promoting agri-enterprises.
Day 3: Field visit to a successful agri-startup and interaction with the promoter for real-world learning.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES
By the end of the programme, participants will:
1. Gain motivation and confidence to become entrepreneurs.
2. Acquire practical knowledge on running and managing enterprises.
3. Learn from the real-life experiences of successful agri-preneurs.
METHODOLOGY
The programme blends theory with practice, using case studies, success stories, interactive discussions, and hands-on activities to make learning engaging and impactful.

Young entrepreneurs and professionals interested in agriculture and allied sectors.
VENUE
The programme is fully residential. Participants will be accommodated in air-conditioned singleoccupancy rooms on campus. Please note that accommodation for family members is not provided. The ASCI campus is comprehensively Wi-Fi enabled.
PROGRAMME DURATION AND DATES
Duration: 3 days
Dates:November 03–05, 2025
Participants are expected to arrive a day prior to commencement and may depart after the conclusion.
PROGRAMME FEE
Residential Fee: 15,000 per participant + GST (currently 18%) is applicable.
The fee includes tuition, board and lodging, electronic courseware, and access to all campus facilities including internet usage.

MEDICAL INSURANCE
The nominees are requested to carry with them proof of Medical Insurance. The sponsoring agency is required to endorse the nominees' medical coverage in the event of hospitalisation.

ASCI ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
All participants of ASCI programmes automatically become members of the ASCI Alumni Association, enabling continuous learning and networking.
CERTIFICATEOF PARTICIPATION
On successful completion of the programme, participants will be awarded a Certificate of Participation from ASCI.
