
General Management Programme for Banking Sector
PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
Modern managers face a number of technical and managerial challenges. A more globalised and dynamic Indian economy further demonstrates the issues faced by a modern manager. Therefore, it is pertinent that they show more general and line-managerial capabilities along with their changing functional requirements. At this juncture, updating the managerial capabilities in the financial services sector needs special focus as the sector is the most important lifeline of an economy - both as an intermediary and an engine of growth. Banking and Financial Institutions have also an important role to play in financial inclusion as accessibility to banking services to all is important for effective inclusive economic growth in today’s digitalized world.
Against this background, the programme has been designed to ensure that the participants gain the necessary managerial skills along with a broader understanding of banking sector trends. Financial inclusion would also be a focal point of this five-day programme. The modules and sessions are designed to integrate the specific functional knowledge and managerial skills which are necessary to become true banking leaders.
The programme also includes module on Mission Karmayogi, which is Government of India’s National Programme towards building capacity of all civil service and public sector officers by improving efficiency in bureaucracy and developing a people centric approach in governance rooted in Indian civilisation ethos.

• To understand and cultivate Karmayogi mindset based on Indian civilisation ethos.
CONTENT
DAY 1
Macroeconomic Environment and Financial Services Sector (Overview: Global and Indian Scenario), Evolution of Banking, Reforms in Banking Sector, Regulatory standards and Industry best practices. Karmayogi Competency Model; and Leadership – In Karmayogi Way.
Day 2
Digital Revolution in Banking: CBDC and Cryptocurrency. FinTech Disruptions, Emergences of NBFCs, Cyber Crime & Data Security, Financial Frauds & Prevention, Employee Performance and Incentives – Driving Efficiency, Team Building and Managing Cultural Diversity, Workplace Ethics & Resolution of Conflicts.
Day 3
Customer Service Excellence & Benchmarking, Branding & Marketing for Banking Organizations, Treasury & Forex Management, Challenges in Global Banking, Credit Risk & NPA Management, Asset & Liability Management, Risk Management & Compliance Risk Management (CRM).
Day 4
Innovations in Financial Products, & emerging styles of AI in Banking Operations, Sustainable Banking, ESG & Green Finance, Ethical Banking & Corporate Governance in Indian Banking System.
Day 5
Foundations of Financial Inclusion & Focus on Financial Literacy, JAM Trinity (Jan Dhan Account, Aadhar, UPI & Mobile Banking) in Digital Financial Inclusion, Viksit Bharat 2047 – Strategies for Last-Mile Financial Inclusion, Challenges of Banking in Rural India, Role of UPI, Aadhhar and Digital Identity in Financial Inclusion.
The day-wise session topics are indicative. The final programme schedule will be designed incorporating all relevant topics for the programme based on participants’ profile.
METHODOLOGY
We are proposing an on-campus programme to be conducted at our state-of-the-art campus in Hyderabad. Strong emphasis will be given to interactive and participative learning. The programme will comprise lecture sessions, group discussions, experience-sharing sessions and industry visits.
FACULTY
Dr Madhusoodanan P R Professor and Director of the Centre for Economics and Finance will lead the programme. Dr. Madhusoodanan brings deep industry and scholarly insights. He will be joined by a team of regulators, practitioners, and senior faculty members, ensuring a rich and diverse learning environment.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
This programme is ideal for middle- to senior-level executives and officers engaged in almost all general and specialized functions within banks, NBFCs, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
Organisational sponsorship is essential
VENUE
The programme is fully residential and the participants will be accommodated in air conditioned single occupancy rooms. The college does not provide accommodation for the family. The college is Wi-Fi enabled in a comprehensive way.
DURATION
The programme duration is 5 days starting from September 08 - 12, 2025. The participants are expected to arrive a day before commencement and may leave after the conclusion of the programme.
PROGRAMME FEE
Residential Fee: Rs. 69,500/- (US $ 1086 for foreigners) plus GST as applicable (presently 18%) per participant. The fee covers tuition, board and lodging, courseware (in electronic form) and other facilities of the College including internet usage.
Non-Residential Fee: Rs. 59,500/- plus GST as applicable (presently 18%) per participant. The fee covers tuition, course ware (in electronic form) working lunch and other facilities of the College including internet usage.
A discount of 10% on the Programme fee for three or more participants from the same organisation will be given, provided the payment is credited into our Bank account before September 05, 2025.

MEDICAL INSURANCE
The nominees are requested to carry with them the proof of Medical Insurance. The sponsoring agency is required to endorse the nominees' medical coverage in the event of hospitalization

ASCI ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
Participants of the College programmes will automatically become members of the ASCI alumni association.
CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION
The College issues a Certificate of Participation on conclusion of the programme.
