Programme Overview – Gender Response Budgeting: Mainstreaming Gender in Public Finance and Governance (2025)
Gender Response Budgeting (GRB) is a strategic approach that applies a gender perspective to the entire budget process, ensuring public finance acts as a tool for equality. This two-day programme is meticulously designed for executives and government officials to understand how public expenditure can effectively address gender-based disparities and drive women's empowerment.
Participants will move from foundational gender concepts and sectoral challenges to the practical implementation of GRB. By the end, participants will be equipped to transform policy commitments into measurable gender-equal outcomes.
OBJECTIVE
This programme equips executives with practical tools and strategic knowledge required to analyze, formulate, and monitor public budgets through a gender lens. It enhances capabilities for establishing Gender Budgeting Cells and adopting performance-based assessment methods for gender budgeting.

FACULTY
The programme will be led by Ms. Sridevi Tummarakoti, a distinguished expert with over two decades of experience across teaching, corporate training, research, banking, and administration.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
Ideal for officials and executives from Ministries of Finance, Planning, Social Justice, Women & Child Development, and other departments involved in budget formulation, implementation, and social sector planning.
VENUE
Fully residential programme with accommodation in air-conditioned single-occupancy rooms. Wi-Fi enabled campus. Family accommodation not available.
DURATION
The programme duration is 2 days, from December 15–16, 2025. Participants are expected to arrive a day before and may leave after the conclusion.
PROGRAMME FEE
Residential Fee: Rs. 33,510/- (US $403 for foreigners) + 18% GST. Includes tuition, lodging, courseware, and campus facilities.
Non-Residential Fee: Rs. 28,310/- + 18% GST. Includes tuition, courseware, working lunch, and campus amenities.
10% discount for three or more participants from the same organisation if payment is credited before December 12, 2025.
MEDICAL INSURANCE
Participants must carry proof of medical insurance. Sponsoring organisation must endorse hospitalization coverage.
