Professional Experience :
Retired from the IAS in 2016 as Chief Secretary, with the unique distinction of being appointed as the first Chief Secretary of newly created state of Telangana in 2014. After retirement, functioned as the Chief Advisor of state government till 2023.
Served in the Government of India as Addl. Secretary and Special Secretary (in-charge) in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Worked as Joint Secretary and Mission Director, National Mission for Clean Ganga in the Ministry of Environment and Forests in Government of India.
Extensive experience in the state in the areas of Municipal Administration, Environment and Pollution Control, Agriculture, Technical Education, Governance Reforms, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development etc.
Worked as Commissioner of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation, Collector & District Magistrate of Krishna and East Godavari districts in Andhra Pradesh in the early career.
Was associated with many projects supported by the World Bank, UNDP, DFID, ADB and ILO.
