About the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI)

The Administrative Staff College of India is an institution of excellence and national importance. Established in 1956, it is the first and foremost institution of its kind in the country. Set up as an institution with a difference at the joint initiative of both the Government of India and the industry, it is an autonomous, self-supporting, public-purpose institution with the objectives of being a think-tank for policy inputs and to build the capacities of practicing professionals in the management of government and business enterprises.

Assistant Professor

/Research Fellow 

(Two Positions)

Qualification: Post Graduate degree and M.Phil / Ph.D in Public Policy or related disciplines.

Domain Expertise and Experience :


  5 to 10 years of experience in the domain of public policy. They      may have Post Graduate degree and M.Phil/Ph.D in public policy    or related disciplines.

Candidates having work exposure to international development organizations and proficiency in Monitoring and Evaluation will be preferred.

  • Experience of leading research and consultancy assignments
  • Business Development for training, consultancy & research assignments
  • Publications in referred journals

The Salary Package

  • Assistant Professor: Pay scale 55520 - 97470 & Gross Pay per Month Rs.97715/- at minimum of scale.
  • Research Fellow : Consolidated Pay based on experience.


Higher emoluments may be considered for exceptionally deserving candidates.

The positions carry a number of benefits apart from the gross pay, such as Conveyance Allowance (1680 – 4500), Contributory PF @12% of Basic + DA, Leave Encashment, Medical, LTA and family accommodation in campus in lieu of HRA. These appointments are on a contractual basis, initially for a period of three years, subject to probation of one year and fulfillment of specified work norms. After three years the appointment is renewable subject to satisfactory performance. The age of superannuation is 60 years.
