About the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI)

The Administrative Staff College of India is an institution of excellence and national importance. Established in 1956, it is the first and foremost institution of its kind in the country. Set up as an institution with a difference at the joint initiative of both the Government of India and the industry, it is an autonomous, self-supporting, public-purpose institution with the objectives of being a think-tank for policy inputs and to build the capacities of practicing professionals in the management of government and business enterprises.

Position: Assistant Professor 

Qualifications 

  • Education:
  • Ph.D in Human Resources Management in areas - Core Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Leadership etc.  .
  • Domain Expertise:

      • Experience of design and delivery of customized training programs for practicing managers and professionals from public sector enterprises and private organizations
      • Consistent record in delivery of highly rated sessions that involve activity-based approaches, participatory methods, management games, simulations, etc
      • Anchoring consulting assignments on a range of HRM related topics including Industrial Relations, Leadership, etc
      • Administration experience including securing assignments, delivery management, client management, etc
      • Publications in reputed National and International Journals
      • Exceptional oral and written communication skills

      In addition to the execution experience as detailed above, aspiring candidates must possess experience in securing training programs or assignments from sponsoring agencies (Government/ Public Sector/ Corporates) by conceptualizing new ideas, converting them into proposals, persuading potential clients and conversion into business.

      Relevant experience:
      • Candidates should possess experience of minimum 2-3 years of teaching/research/ professional experience in reputed institutes/ hospitals/ health care institutions.
      • The faculty role includes teaching in the PGDM (Hospital management) program and other ASCI training programs, research, consultancy, conducting MDPs and In-company programmes, seminars, conferences, serving on committees, placement support and guidance of PGDM (Hospital Management) student activities.
  • Years of relevant experience:

    • 05 to 10 years of training and / or management consulting and/or Corporate experience

  • Remarks/Additional information on professional experience   

    • Experience of leading research/ and consultancy assignments
    • Business Development for training, consultancy & research assignments
    • Publications in referred journals

The Salary Package

  • Assistant Professor: Pay scale 55520 - 97470 & Gross Pay per Month Rs.97715/- at minimum of scale.

 Higher emoluments may be considered for exceptionally deserving candidates.

The positions carry a number of benefits apart from the gross pay, such as Conveyance Allowance (1680 – 4500), Contributory PF @12% of Basic + DA, Leave Encashment, Medical, LTA and family accommodation in campus in lieu of HRA.These appointments are on a contractual basis, initially for a period of three years, subject to probation of one year and fulfillment of specified work norms. After three years the appointment is renewable subject to satisfactory performance.  The age of superannuation is 60 years.
