Background
Our country has been facing the Covid pandemic for the last few months and the governments of Central and states/UTs have been working to control the pandemic. The Covid crisis has brought to the focus the importance of public health in the country. It has been noted that states with good health systems are able to handle the impact of the Covid crisis. This is true for the entire world where countries will health systems that focused on public health infrastructure and manpower and good surveillance have been able to manage the crisis well. Considering that Covid is something that will stay with us for in future, it is important to understand from innovative best practices in public health which have helped in the control of Covid crisis.
