Programme Objectives: 

  • To impart a deeper understanding of the purposes and priorities of the GoI with regard to the nation emerging stronger as a science-enabled, research-oriented, technology-led, innovation-driven country
  • To provide a learning environment, an experience-sharing platform and a knowledge-exchange forum.
  • To provide the participants with exposure to a science governance and management related institution
  • To offer the participants an opportunity to interact with stakeholders on Science Governance and Management practices.

Andragogy: 

  • Talks by distinguished scientists, eminent technology managers & able administrators.
  • Case studies and Videos
  • Panel discussions on effective and efficient management of R&D institutions and industries.

Target Participants

The programme is designed for Directors and Division Heads of scientists and technologists of (levels ‘G’, ‘H’ and equivalent) with work experience of 21 years and above. Nominations from academics should possess PhD / M.Tech degrees and should be actively involved in Research & Development. Age of the applicants should not be more than 58 years as on 1 July 2017.

All nominations have to be strictly from the government sector only and nomination of applicants from private sector will not be accepted.
