Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) is a leading institution in the country in providing training, research and management studies to government, industry and International agencies in different disciplines of management. Established in 1956 at the initiative of leaders of Government and Industry, ASCI offers management training programmes and undertakes research and advisory work at the request of Government, Industry and International Agencies. Till date, over 1,30,000 Indian and overseas participants have participated in ASCI’s residential programmes spanning six decades.  It has successfully completed over 850 large-scale research projects for national and international organisations in various fields.

 Applications are invited for the following positions:

I.  Assistant Registrar  (A Group-II  Level Officer)
Duties & Responsibilities  and Competencies Required
  1. All work relating to the College Society, all meetings of the Court of Governors, Standing Committee of the CoG, AGM, DGEC including notices, agenda, minutes, and follow-up.
  2. All aspects involved in Recruitment to Separations of Group-II and III Staff, which covers advertising, initial processing of applications, arranging seminars/selection committee meetings, probation and confirmation, annual increments, leave and LTC (including Group-IV/V staff), personnel development.  Also to facilitate recruitment and final settlements and Project-tied staff matters.
  3. Matters relating to ASCI Foundation and other Memorial Lectures encompassing printing and despatch of lecture invitations, liaising with other sections/departments regarding arrangements for lectures, etc.
  4. Matters relating to insurance of College property, property tax and other levies in respect of buildings/assets including liaison with Insurance companies on claims, etc.
  5. Matters relating to legal cases – liaising with the legal counsels, collection and supply of information for preparation of affidavits as required and periodical follow-up of status and its reporting.
  6. Arranging physical verification of College Assets and maintenance of Assets records, and insurance thereof.
  7. Membership of the College with outside institutions, staff development.
  8. Preparation of important notes relating to policy matters, circulars, SoPs.
  9. Providing guidance to the Establishment in respect of promotions, disciplinary matters and other important matters with regard to Group-IV and V staff,
  10. In relation to printing of Annual Report and lecture texts, proof reading, printing and distribution.
  11. Facilitating Group Mediclaim Policy for regular employees and reimbursement of medical insurance premium.
  12. Vetting of MoUs, Agreements pertaining to Training, Research, Management Studies and AMCs.
  13. Correspondence internally and externally on various matters of the College.
  14. Looking after the routine work of the Registrar & Secretary, in his absence.
  15. Any other administrative or personnel matters assigned by the Registrar or the Director General, from time to time. 
Qualifications & Experience

An ACS / Post Graduation in HRM and Diploma in Labour Laws with 10 years experience, preferably in a similar Institution. 

Age Between 45 & 50 years.
Salary Package

Pay Band - ₹15600 – 39100 + ₹9000 (Grade Pay)

The position carries a number of benefits, apart from the pay. He/She will be eligible for House Rent Allowance – 30%, Dearness Allowance (Currently 132%), Conveyance Allowance ₹3,200 + DA%, LTC, Medical, Contributory P F and Gratuity in accordance with the College norms. 

II.  Resident Manager  –  New Delhi Centre   (A Group-III  Level Officer)

ASCI has its Branch Office/Guesthouse in Delhi, called New Delhi Centre (NDC), in the Qutab Institutional Area, which consists of Conference Hall, Guest Rooms, Kitchen, Pantry, etc.

Duties & Responsibilities


  1. To liaise with the Ministries, Departments of Central Government;  Delhi Government; various local authorities, National Institutions, etc.
  2. To provide administrative assistance to the Faculty Members in discharging their duties in New Delhi.
  3. To supervise and control staff in the New Delhi Centre.
  4. Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of NDC property consisting of conference facility, faculty offices and guesthouse.
  5. To maintain accounts and other records of the NDC.
  6. To collect dues from Governments and various institutions.
  7. To supervise logistics for Faculty Members and other Dignitaries visiting NDC from the Head Office.
  8. To coordinate with Hyderabad Office on various matters.
  9. To facilitate MoUs/Agreements with Tenants, AMCs of vendors and to follow procurement procedures.
  10. Any other responsibilities that are assigned from the head office i.e., ASCI, Hyderabad, from time to time.
  11. Any other administrative tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Required
  • Post Graduation or MBA or Graduation in HR/Marketing in English Medium.
  • Good communication skills in English and Hindi, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge and application of computer skills including MS Office, Accounting Package like Tally.
  • Should have pleasing personality.
  • Person with at least 10 years of experience in above functions in a similar reputed organisation will carry weightage.



Between 35 & 40 years

Salary Package

Pay Band - ₹22000 – 70000 + ₹10000 (Grade Pay)  

The position carries a number of benefits, apart from the pay. He/She will be eligible for House Rent Allowance – 30%, Dearness Allowance (Currently 32%), Conveyance Allowance ₹3,200 + DA%, LTC, Medical, Contributory P F and Gratuity in accordance with the College norms. 


Both the above appointments are on contractual terms and initially for a period of three years, subject to probation of one year.  After three years the appointments are renewable subject to good performance.  The age of superannuation is 60 years.
