Capacity Building Workshop for High Court Official |

| A two-day capacity building workshop for the senior officers of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh was conducted on 29th and 30th May at the Bella Vista campus of ASCI, Hyderabad. The Joint Registrars, Deputy Registrars and Assistant Registrars of the High Court attended the workshop. The objective of this workshop was to help the officers appreciate the need for better organizational management towards meeting the emerging challenges. A variety of customized inputs on HR and Financial Management, Organizational Behavior, Gender Sensitivity and e-Governance were on the agenda of the workshop. User-friendly measures and provisions under the RTI Act 2005 too were covered. |

| Hon’ble Shri Justice B. Sudershan Reddy, Judge of the Supreme Court of India, inaugurated the workshop. Hon’ble the Chief Justice Shri Anil R. Dave of the High Court of AP spoke on the occasion. Many honorable judges of the High Court of the Andhra Pradesh graced the occasion with their distinguished presence. The valedictory address was delivered by Shri M. Seetharama Murthi, the Registrar General of the High Court of AP. |

Justice Venkatachaliah, former Chief Justice of India, had given ASCI - Dr. Ambedkar Memorial Lecture on
“The Social Pillars of Economic Development” on January 29, 2009 at 6.00 p.m at CR-I, Bella Vista, ASCI.
Shri M.N.Venkatachalaih was the 25th Chief Justice of India. He served as Chief Justice from 1993 to 1994. After retirement, he has continued to work on anti-corruption and human rights issues, including support for the launch of the Initiatives of Change, Centre for Governance in 2003. He was awarded Padma Vibhushan in 2004. |
