Workshop on Open Source Topics
30th June 2017

In this background, the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) Inter-commission Working Groups III/IVC on Environment and Health is organizing Geospatial Public Health Symposium in collaboration with Working group V/8 which is responsible for Promotion of Open Source applications related to Geospatial Technology. The Geospatial public health symposium, an ISPRS III/IVC and V/8 working group’s event, is conceived as a forum to bridge the geospatial tools and technologies, earth, environment and health science communities for promoting interdisciplinary public health research. It is visualized that the Geospatial public health symposium would be contributing in development and validation of operational public health GIS models and formulation of a road map for healthcare planning and monitoring. The symposium will be preceded by a One day Workshop on 30th June 2017 on Geospatial technologies, Open Source Tools and on topics related to Public Health.
