Geospatial technologies have been instrumental in advancing our understanding of the environmental and epidemiological factors affecting human health and well-being. Advanced research in Geospatial Public Health including geospatial epidemiology, health care and emergency management, is expected to play a pivotal role in disease mapping, development of community health surveillance and managing health resources. It is envisaged that the integration of Geospatial analysis and modeling would strengthen the Health Management Information Systems and e-governance / G-governance [geospatial governance] issues.
